EndNote X2
Introduction to EndNote X2EndNote is the industry standard software for organizing references and creating bibliographies. With this program you can capture important resource information into libraries, which are yours to keep, even after you leave the University. Create and manage EndNote libraries, insert citations into a Word document using a feature called Cite while you Write™, and automatically format a bibliography with the capability of using many different styles (Annotated, APA, MLA, and with the new version, 800+ online connection files, 600+ import filters and 3,300 journal styles). In this 2.5 hour workshop we will learn how to connect to a variety
of library databases (from PubMed to the extensive UI library resources)
to copy citation information into EndNote libraries using direct
transfer, as well as creating export files from online databases and
importing into EndNote. We will also explore new features of version X2
including the ability to find full text articles automatically, the Auto
Date Stamp which allows you to see when a reference was added to your
library and when it was last updated; compressing your EndNote library
to attach to an email automatically.
