CITES NetFiles

The CITES NetFiles service provides file storage and a personal web site for U of I faculty, staff, and students. Through a web browser or client software (PC, Mac, or Unix/Linux), NetFiles can be accessed worldwide. This course offers an overview of the features and uses of CITES NetFiles. Assuming no prior experience, you'll take a tour of the NetFiles user interface, and we'll explain options for secure file exchange and sharing. We’ll also work through some of the scenarios on the CITES NetFiles page such as using NetFiles instead of email attachments; using Dreamweaver with CITES NetFiles; using CITES NetFiles rather Than floppies; and more.

Prerequisite: Confirmed faculty, staff, or student status at the University of Illinois
(valid Student/Staff ID required). All attendees must obtain a NetFiles account and
password prior to class.
