Evaluation ONline (EON)

We are now offering a web-based student rating system, "Evaluation ONline" or more simply, EON. This system is similar to, but more flexible than, ICES. Any UI Online course can use EON. Traditional face-to-face courses can also utilize EON if the instructor feels students would be comfortable using the web interface rather than the traditional paper and pencil ICES. If you would like to use EON, please contact us by mid-semester so we can set-up your course.

The system uses the University's Bluestem verification system to validate instructor, student, and administrator access. EON is coordinated and housed on a secure server within the Center for Teaching Excellence. Those instructors that use EON will still be eligible for The Incomplete List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent by Their Students as well as Longitudinal Profiles, which is used for tenure and promotion decisions.
